The 1872 is located in Ribeira, on top of the Bacalhoeiros Wall, right in front of the Douro.

There are eight rooms, some facing the city streets, others facing the river. All the rooms have different characteristics, but all with the strong mark of comfort.

In this River House, whether in the common room or on the terrace, there is always a place to read a book, have a drink, marvel at the view, or plan your next trip. Because each of the rooms at 1872 tells a story, they are all furnished differently. The furniture, mostly Portuguese, has all been restored and custom designed for each roomThe air-conditioned rooms are classically decorated and feature a flat-screen TV.

Some rooms have views of the city, while others overlook the river. All include free Wi-Fi access and a private bathroom. A daily cleaning service is provided.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and served each morning in the bright dining area of the property. Breakfast in the room is available at an additional cost.

The Porto waterfront is a popular tourist destination, filled with traditional restaurants and bars.

Located right in front of the Douro River, the 1872 River House offers panoramic views of the riverfront as well as the Luís I Bridge.
